Translation qualifications

To be registered with Cintra Ltd, translators must be qualified with one or more of the following:

• Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) from the Chartered Institute of Linguists
• Translation degree, languages degree or postgraduate degree with a substantial translation component
• Full membership of the Institute of Translation and Interpretating (ITI)
• Full Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) in Health or Law

Other requirements

• Availability to work and meet the required deadlines
• Internet and email access
• Keyboard and fonts for the relevant language
• MS Office suite or compatibility with Mac equivalent software packages
• A professional approach
• Integrity and honesty
• An interest in public service
• Knowledge of and adherence to Cintra's Code of Conduct
• Two good references from a previous employer
• A current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau clearance
• Permission to work in the UK
