About us
Cintra offers a complete interpreting and translation service for the public sector and private clients in the East of England and East Midlands.
- We are experienced in managing the challenges of providing qualified interpreters where and when they are needed, often within 2-hour timescales.
In addition to our 24-hour call centre, Cintra has:
- Knowledge of public sector services and processes;
- As a not-for-profit social enterprise, the ability to plough back a higher percentage of our income into the training and development of interpreters, as well as access to other funding, thus providing a higher quality of interpreters at a very competitive cost.
Every year around 60 interpreters take the DPSI through Cintras registered examination centre, and over 500 interpreters qualified with the DPSI through Cintra between 1997 and 2007. With other partners in the East of England Federation of Public Service Interpreting, Cintra achieved East of England Development Agency funding in 2004-07 to train 250 new interpreters for the DPSI.
