What We Do

Pathways Project Home Page

The main activities are:

  • one to one and small group training and support using specialist equipment
  • one to one and small group training and support in computer and internet skills
  • personal development and progression for users
  • advice and information on specialist equipment available to users and professionals
  • regular bookings available for groups from day centres and group homes
  • opportunities for users to become project volunteers, supporting new users

The project will:

  • enable progression by providing training in new skills and providing links to other organisations offering volunteer opportunities, training and support into employment in a variety of fields
  • provide opportunities for equality, independence, fuller participation, information, education and leisure, reducing isolation
  • demonstrate that IT is a tool for equality
  • raise awareness of the potential of computers
  • encourage active involvement of users in the development of the project

Learning new skills will enable users to gain confidence, broaden horizons, raise expectations and improve quality of life.
