Cambridge Online City seeks new Hon Treasurer

Cambridge Online City is a thriving partnership between public, private and voluntary sectors. Established in 1995 by Anne Campbell, COLC aims to promote social inclusion by providing free public internet access at sites throughout the city along with basic one to one tutorials particularly aimed at by-passed learners and the disabled community. The current Treasurer is retiring from the post and we need to find a replacement as soon as possible. A job description is available along with a broad description of the role of the treasurer. In addition prospective candidates need to know:

  • There are usually 4 to 6 Executive meetings a year.
  • They usually last 2-3 hours and are usually held in the late afternoon (however this can be reviewed).
  • There is an annual general meeting once a year - usually in the first half of the year.
  • The Treasurer is expected to be an active member of the Finance and Fundraising committee which meets on an 'as and when' basis.
  • Cambridge Online City is a company limited by guarantee and the Executive comprises the Directors of the company.
  • Charity registration is being sought.
