To use a Cambridge Online access point, click here to choose a location, ring to find out when it is available, and book a session if necessary. It is free to use the internet, email, or any of the software on the computer. There may be a small charge for printing (ask the receptionist).

  • Microsoft Word (word processor - widely used)
  • Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet and graphs)
  • Microsoft Frontpage (design webpages)
  • Microsoft Publisher (more complicated than Word, e.g. for newspapers)
  • Microsoft Power Point (designing multi-media presentations)
  • Microsoft Access (database handler)
There is a printer and scanner, and a floppy disk drive if you wish to save files.

Cambridge Online run free tutorials on using the internet or email.

Cambridge Libraries run LearnDirect courses in Word, Excel and other software.

While Frontpage can design webpages, it won't put them onto the internet. Click here for an explanation of what is involved.

If there are any problems with the computer, please report it to the staff at the access points.
