Mrs. Elizabeth Clarke lived in 19 Gwydir St in 1904 (see Spalding's Directory). In 1913, Mrs. Mary Ann Clarke lived there (see Spalding's Directory), presumably part of the same family.
Veronica Langberg emailed me in 2010: My great-grandmother, Annie Head, was born at no.19 Gwydir St in 1884. Her mother, Mary Ann Head (n�e Smith), was a domestic, and her dad, William Head, a butler; she was a domestic (and she married a French cook). My grandma was in 'silver service' and she married a porter! |
