'Let Your Voice out to Play': Workshops and individual sessions with Kay Barrett.
Kay specialises in sessions in unconfident singers or singers already who want to explore their voices further in a fun, supportive environment. She runs a group for adults on Wednesday evenings at Girton.
Her workshops include gentle physical and vocal warm-ups, singing games and songs from a variety of cultures. Everything is taught by ear, so there is no need to read music.
Kay is available for projects with a variety of age groups and abilities and has experience in working with adults with learning difficulties, people on the autistic spectrum, and people with experience of homelessness. She runs the ongoing 'Street Voices' group and performing band, one of Cambridge community music charity Talking in Tune's projects. Find out more about Street Voices at www.streetvoices.org.uk
Kay is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioners' Network.
