Good Night

A Sitting Service

for Children

With Disabilities

The 'Good Night' Service is a voluntary organisation which offers a sitting service to families who have a child with a physical and/or learning disability aged from birth to 19 years old. Such families often find it difficult to arrange child care and are, therefore, grateful to have the opportunity of a specialist sitting service. The service was conceived in 1992 and covers the cities of Cambridge and Ely and the surrounding rural areas.

The service, which is a registered charity, aims to ease the pressure on family life for all members and enables respite opportunities for parents where the child does not have to leave the family home.

Volunteers from all ages and backgrounds are needed as sitters for this service.
