Special Needs Statement

The Cherry Kids� Club welcomes children from all local schools and aims to support, where practicable, parents or children with disabilities or Special Educational Needs within the club.

�������� Children with special needs, like all other children, are admitted to the club according to our admissions policy.

�������� If it is felt that a child�s needs cannot be met within the club without additional equipment or staff support, funding from the Care and Education Partnership or elsewhere will be sought to achieve this.

�������� Staff will consider whether a play-worker should be assigned as a key-worker to give extra support to a particular child.

�������� Our staff attend, when appropriate, in-service training on special needs arranged by the Cambridgeshire Care and Education Partnership or other professional bodies.
