Sometimes a webpage is too long to fit on a screen. You will see a 'scroll bar' at the far right of the screen. This webpage has been made deliberately long (with blank lines at the bottom) so you can see the scroll bar on the right. Moving up and down a webpage is called scrolling. Click on the tiny 'down' ( Using the scroll bar will work on all webpages. However, the scroll bar can be fiddly to use, especially if you are not very good with the mouse. There is an easier way to scroll down a webpage. Tap on the Down arrow key ( Some mice have a wheel between the two buttons. Rolling this with your finger also scrolls the page. The Cambridge Online glossary is a very long webpage, so you can practise using the scroll bar. Some people get confused by the direction of scrolling. As you click on the down arrow, you move down the page. However, this makes the rest of the page move upwards.
